Summary of Litigation 101 for Title Analysts

Th.is presentation will cover the basics of the litigation process, including practical tips for how companies can best position themselves to win if litigation does occur, the basics of the court system, key documents and things to know for litigation, the procedures and processes in court, and the specifics regarding title litigation in Colorado

Speakers   

Deva Solomon is a Member in Steptoe & Johnson PLLC's Denver office, where he maintains a diverse litigation practice, focusing on defending high stakes personal injury, civil rights, and energy litigation.  He counsels and advises energy producers regarding both injury and production related issues.  He appears regularly in State and Federal Courts in multiple jurisdictions, including representing clients before the highest court in West Virginia and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.  He is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, Defense Research Institute, Colorado Defense Lawyers Association, and was recognized as West Virginia Super Lawyers(r) Rising Star prior to relocating to Colorado.

 

David R. Little's practice focuses on complex oil and gas, tort and regulatory matters involving oil and gas leases, joint operating agreements, other oil and gas contracts, royalty payments, surface use issues and oil and gas operations.  He also represents clients and provides counseling and advice regarding other contract, business, tort, real property, regulatory and commercial litigation matters.  He has appeared in trial and appellate courts in Colorado and other states.
